Party Rockers | The Kotok Family

Sometimes all you need for a few smiles is to sing "Party Rock Anthem" to someone.

Every day I'm shuffle-in

Cherry Blossoms Adrift | Bethesda Family Photographer

Cherry Blossoms Adrift

Pink petals passing
Scents above so high
Painted porcelain perfection
Blossoms caress the sky

Swaying silent shroud
Suitors strolling by
Pink petals passing
Lover's gentle sigh

Pastel hues falling
Slow fluttering grace
Pink petals passing
Lining streams in lace

Pink petals passing
Smoothest transit by
Soft essence floating
In most subtle lullaby

Inducing springtime slumber
Upon a satin shore
Sailing with the current
Pink petals pass before

Here are a few shots from yesterday morning at one of my favorite gardens- the Bishop's Garden at the National Cathedral.

Cherry Blossom Mini-Sessions | Bethesda Family Photographer

The cherry blossoms are my absolute favorite time of year. For a few short weekends, the world is covered in puffy prettiness. I couldn't have asked for better weather or a better group of families to kick start Spring 2012.

Wedding Moments | Dottie's Wedding

Remember when I blogged about taking all of my wedding images and creating an awesome collage? Well, FINALLY, thanks to the lovely and talented Christy Tyler of Christy Tyler Photography, my dreams have become a reality. If you still have your wedding images collecting dust on a cd somewhere, I highly suggest contacting her to make you a masterpiece.

Also a shout out to the creator of the images and wedding memories I love, Daniel Lanton of Darker Shades of Brown Photography. Thank you for  capturing our day with your camera and allowing us to relive it everyday with your images.

I found out Saturday morning that I have been promoted at my day job(YAY!) I am proud to introduce to you the latest addition to my collection of Kate Spade personal achievement bags, "Hoya Kate".

Watching them grow | Bethesda Family Photographer

People always say,  "They grow up so fast." I can tell you first hand that documenting a child's life in pictures proves this. Last time I saw little baby Z, I had him all squished inside a bucket in a field on a warm spring day.

This morning, I got to see him and he isn't a squishy little baby anymore, but an adorable toddler almost ready to run. Baby Z, I can't wait to see you again and thank you for allowing me to document your many adventures to come.

Fab 5 | Florida Edition

Just in case you didn't know, I have been traveling for work since mid February! I can't wait to get home at the end of the week, but it has been really fun and like most people, I LOVE FLORIDA!

1) Lucy is doing great and recovering well from her little jaunt to the emergency room/surgery/doggie hospital. Her nanny reports that she is back to being a delinquent, which means that she must be better. I can't wait to get home and take her to the groomer because she is starting to look like a wild animal.
 2) I started my business trip with a week in Orlando and Rob and I tried to make the first part as much of a vacation as we could. Contrary to what my co-workers back in DC think, I did spend a good chunk of my time in the hotel room and in meetings, but we DID have an amazing time visiting the Disney parks. My favorite ride was "Soarin" at Epcot, and I just may have had the best Irish meal ever in Downtown Disney.
3) Rob got two birdies playing golf and he was really really really excited. I was so glad he had fun.
4) My Certifikid Cherry Blossom deal was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! I completely sold out in a few days and I can't wait to meet all of my new clients and their families. Now we just need to hope the weather cooperates. I am officially mad at the blossoms for deciding to come early this year, but I will most likely quickly forgive them because they are so pretty.
5) I am now in Miami and the weather is glorious. I cannot believe the spectacular view from my hotel room and we went to my favorite restaurant last night for dinner, Prime 112.
